IBM i 7.3 Essential PTFs
The IBM i 7.3 Operating System standard support will end on 30 September 2023. There are options to purchase the IBM Service Extension for IBM i 7.3. Many of our customers have made the decision to upgrade to a newer version of the Operating System IBM i 7.4 or IBM i 7.5.
However, we also have customers who are unable to upgrade due to restrictions with their existing applications that they have running. If you find yourself in this position, what can you do to ensure that you are protected as much as possible? We would suggest that you install:
- The latest Cumulative PTF package SF99730
- The latest Groups PTF packages SF99731 which includes Security, Hiper and DB2 fixes
Installing these latest levels ensures compatibility with Power 9 and Power 10 hardware. We are always happy to help. If you need support or further advice, please get in touch.
