We are currently looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join the Team in Chester as a New Business Sales Executive. This is a Hybrid role, selling our portfolio of IBM Power and Storage solutions along with our extensive range of Managed, Professional & Cloud Services solutions into the IBM midrange marketplace.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be Midlands/North based and have a proven track record in new business wins’ and opening significant opportunity with new commercial clients. We require a minimum of five years’ experience ideally working within an IBM Business Partner / IBM Value added Reseller.

Working Hours: Hybrid, with 2-3 days a week in our Chester office

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Basic Salary up to £50K p.a (based upon experience)

IBM POWER Systems Engineer - IBM i

Job description

Chilli IT is a privately owned IT consultancy business focused on IBM Midrange storage and servers. Our aim is to provide high-quality services to the IBM i POWER and Storage marketplace, offering innovative services and products. We achieve this by employing a team of highly skilled and experienced consultants. We are currently looking for an individual with experience in the IBM i POWER environment who has 5+ years of experience in IBM i and HA software. They could have a background in an End-user, IT supplier, or both. They will have a familiarity with:

Essential Skills

  • Mimix High Availability or similar System Migrations
  • Comfortable in a consultative role liaising with clients

Desirable Skills

  • Operating System Upgrades
  • PTF/TR/Service Pack application
  • VIOS
  • BRMS Backup and Restore
  • IBM External storage
  • LPAR configuration

Knowledge and Experience

Whilst some experience is required, this role is much more about the individual and their enthusiasm to be involved in a dynamic team providing high quality services to customers, learning the very latest IBM i and IBM Storage technologies and contributing to the companies goals.

It is expected that the role would involve 2-3 days per week working from our Chester office.

Salary Negotiable depending on experience £35K-55K plus benefits

Salary: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
